Go preferences
Remembered slug choices when multiple bookmarks share one slug, and how to clear them.
What this is for
Sometimes more than one bookmark you can access uses the same slug. The first time that happens, SlugBase shows a simple chooser page whose heading is Multiple bookmarks match (including the slug in quotes), with a table (Title, Source, and Always use this). Picking Always use this saves your choice so the next visit to /go/ with that slug goes straight to that bookmark.
The in-app page for those saved rows is titled Remembered Slug Choices (/go-preferences). The Profile screen groups this under Quick Access, with Manage remembered slug choices linking here.
Before you start
- You need a slug collision to have occurred (or you will only see the empty state).
- You must be signed in;
/go/resolution uses your account to resolve bookmarks.
How to open Remembered Slug Choices
Open Profile
In the sidebar, choose Profile.
Open Go preferences
Under Quick Access, select Manage remembered slug choices.
You can also go directly to /go-preferences in the app (same path as in the address bar after your SlugBase origin).
What you see on the page
- Title: Remembered Slug Choices
- Description: Explains that when multiple bookmarks share the same slug, your saved choice controls which one opens for
/goresolution. - Each row shows the
/go/path and slug, a Source label (workspace), the bookmark Title, actions to Open the URL, and Remove for that remembered choice.
{Empty state in the app: No saved preferences. Visit /go/<slug> when multiple bookmarks match to save a preference.}
Remove a remembered choice
Find the slug row
On Remembered Slug Choices, locate the row for the slug you want to clear.
Remove
Use Remove (trash) for that row. After removal, the next request to /go/ with that slug may show the chooser again if several bookmarks still match.
