Profile and preferences
Update your account details, language and theme, optional AI suggestions, and quick access to Go preferences.
What this is for
The Profile page is where you manage your own account: Email and Name, Preferences (language and theme, and AI suggestions when that feature is available for your workspace), a shortcut to Go preferences, and—on the same screen—personal API tokens and account deletion (those topics have dedicated guides).
Before you start
- You must be signed in.
- Open Profile from the user menu (avatar) in the top bar—the item is labeled Profile.
Open Profile
Open the user menu
In the top bar, select your avatar or account control to open the menu.
Choose Profile
Select Profile. The page title is Profile, with the subtitle Manage your account settings and preferences.
The in-app route is /profile (after your SlugBase app’s base path, if you use one).
Account
This block is titled Account, with the description Your account details and quick access.

Preferences
This block is titled Preferences, with the description Language, theme, and display options.
Set language
Under Language, pick English or Deutsch (these are the options on the Profile screen today).
Set theme
Under Theme, choose Auto, Light, or Dark.
Save
If anything changed, select Save at the bottom of the card. While edits are unsaved, you may see Unsaved changes next to the button.
AI suggestions
When your workspace exposes this option (the server reports that AI suggestions are available), Preferences also includes AI suggestions with the description Suggest title, tags, and slug when creating bookmarks. Use the toggle to turn that on or off, then Save if the footer shows unsaved changes.
Workspace-wide AI is configured by an admin. If the toggle does not appear, AI suggestions are not available in your deployment or for your account.
Admin badge
If you can access workspace administration, an Admin badge may appear next to Signed in as: and your email on the Profile header.
