FAQ (Cloud)
Common questions about SlugBase Cloud—plans, billing, teams, AI, self-hosting vs cloud, and documentation.
Cloud vs self-hosted: This page describes the hosted product at slugbase.app. In-app behavior shared with core is documented in the Self-hosted guides unless this page says otherwise.
Plans and pricing
Yes. The Free plan includes core bookmark features with up to 50 bookmarks—no credit card required. Paid plans add unlimited bookmarks, AI title/tag/slug suggestions, backups, and team features on Team. See Plans and limits.
Product copy lists Personal at €3/mo or €30/year and Team at €9/mo or €90/yr with 5 users included and per-user add-ons. VAT may be added at checkout depending on location. Confirm current numbers on Pricing.
Early Supporter is a €69 one-time tier described as lifetime Personal-class benefits with limited seats and launch-window messaging. It is not a Team plan. In billing APIs the plan id is supporter. See Plans and limits.
Features and limits
AI suggestions are off on Free. Personal, Team, and Early Supporter include them once your plan has loaded in the app. See Plans and limits.
Team sharing UI (share actions, scope tabs, Members / Teams admin on Cloud) requires the Team plan. Other plans keep libraries non-collaborative in that sense. Details: Collaboration.
No. SlugBase runs as a web app; slugs work through your normal browsing flow. Optional browser setup is documented in Browser setup.
Account and billing
Cloud enables required email verification. After sign-up you follow the link in email before logging in. Resend and typo fixes are described in Sign up and login.
In Admin → Billing, use Manage subscription to open the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation is billed through the end of the period per in-app copy. See Billing.
Cloud scopes data and billing to an organization. New users get a default workspace automatically. See Organizations.
Self-hosted vs Cloud
Cloud is the managed service at slugbase.app with organizations and Stripe billing. Self-hosted is the open-source core you run yourself. Feature parity for the app itself is documented in Self-hosted guides; Cloud-only topics are under Cloud introduction.
