Introduction to SlugBase Cloud
What SlugBase Cloud is, how it relates to self-hosted SlugBase, and where to read about shared product features.
Cloud vs self-hosted: This page describes the hosted product at slugbase.app. In-app behavior shared with core is documented in the Self-hosted guides unless this page says otherwise.
What you use SlugBase Cloud for
SlugBase Cloud is the managed service at slugbase.app. You get the same core bookmark manager in the browser—dashboard, bookmarks, folders, tags, import and export, slugs and /go/ forwarding—while the operator hosts the stack, runs organizations and billing, and applies plans and limits per organization.
The web app for signed-in users lives under https://slugbase.app/app/… (for example /app/login, /app/bookmarks). Marketing pages such as Pricing and Contact are served at the site root.
What is documented here vs in self-hosted guides
Cloud-only topics—sign-up, email verification, organizations, profile quirks, plans, Stripe billing, team collaboration gates, cookies, and support—are covered under Cloud in this documentation.
Anything that works the same in the open-source app is described in the self-hosted guides so we do not maintain two copies:
Dashboard
Home view and navigation patterns after login.
Bookmarks
Saving links, search, and the command palette.
Folders
Organizing bookmarks into folders.
Tags
Tagging and filtering.
Import and export
Moving data in and out.
Slugs overview
Shortcuts and the /go/ concept.
Go preferences
How forwards behave for your account.
Browser setup
Search-engine and address-bar setup for slugs.
